AfroTech is a platform and conference focused on technology, investing, and wealth-building within the Black community, providing a space for networking, learning, and connecting with Black professionals and innovators in tech. Google has been a prominent presence at AfroTech conferences, hosting events like "The Kickback."
Google is also a consistant aprtner with the Grace Hopper Celebration, and also hosts an after hours event at GHC. Each year, leading organizations join GHC to connect with thousands of talented women in tech. Sponsoring GHC puts your company at the center of this dynamic community, helping you build relationships, showcase your commitment to diversity, and recruit top talent.
While freelancing, I worked with MKG on two projects for Google—the Career Fair and After Hours event for two major tech conferences, Afrotech and the Grace Hopper Celebration. As part of their design team, I collaborated with the lead graphic designer to create signage, large and small scale graphics, printed collateral, and all branded content. I also worked on preparing spec documents—including dimensions, materials, Pantone colors, and printing instructions—before handing them off to printers. The larger team as a whole worked closely to bring the event experiences to life, ensuring cohesive and impactful visuals throughout.
